#ictedu makes me happy – and here’s the evidence

It may be corny, but this “Happy” vid put together by the Youth Media Team last Saturday in Thurles catches to mood of the “Global Voices” weekend. We had three generations of students and teachers learning – and dancing – together. Reflective keynotes from @evelynoconor (with added cake) and @heloukee (loved that Forced Perspective project) gave us food for thought and action. And “the W@lk” was brilliant – a showcase of fabulous use of technology in action – Makey Makey with @groganbee and her young team, Oculus Rift thanks to @johnjennings, TY Radio with @noeleenleahy and her students from St Wolstan’s. The workshops I got to – @paud_ie, @CosmicCork and @conpower all gave me great ideas. Three passionate educators in a row, stike!
Thanks as ever to @pamelaaobrien and her team. The Trip to Tipp is etched on my calendar, an annual bookend to our own #cesicon in March.
(btw This time my travelling companion @padkav shamed me my having walked the Darkness into Light in Cavan before we set out, so that’s my resolution for next year if they fall together. Promise.)
Status update – Batteries recharged – thanks everyone. And hey, @_conorgalvin – start practicing for that dance off in 2015… I’ll see your John Travolta and raise you Uma Thurman eh?
